I have to admit I was a wedding show virgin. I've walked around wedding shows before but I hadn't really felt the pull to be a part of one myself, until late last year when a bunch of my friendors (aka friends who also are wedding vendors) convinced me that we should all go in on a collaborative booth together at The Cascades Wedding Show hosted by The Riverhouse Hotel here in Bend... and OH MY GOD, I'm so happy we did. It was so fun and so creative to collaborate with my friends AE Creative, Foxtail Bakeshop, and The Broomsmen. We had a few brainstorming meetings leading up to the show, all of which ended up extending way past their scheduled times, because we can all TALK when we get together. Like go off on a million tangents kind of talk. :) I also LOVED meeting with a bunch of really sweet, interesting people. I spent the entire day in conversation with brides, and moms of brides, and best friends of brides, and even a few grooms. Plus we got to rub elbows with our favorite vendors from the community and I got to be a part of an hour long question and answer session on a stage in front of a bunch of attendees. I was kind of nervous about that last part, but it ended up actually being really fun, and I felt like the questions asked and answered really did help a lot of couples with their planning conundrums.
Here are some lovely photos by Gallivan Photo (unless otherwise stated) of our booth at the event:
